The Osceola County emergency service communications division is responsible for answering the nearly 30,000 emergencies received annually from the 1506sq/mi of unincorporated Osceola County along with the city of St.Cloud and numerous mutual aid calls with Kissimmee Fire Department. The communications team is made up of 16 highly trained and dedicated professionals which work 12 hour shifts to ensure that  no  emergency
goes unanswered. Along with answering 911 calls from the citizens and visitors of Osceola County, this team of communication specialist record important information used by many other county departments. The communications center located in the center of the county is equipped with enhanced 911( E911) which allows communication specialist to see the location of the emergency caller along with the GPS location of cellular phone users. E911 also has the ability to call back the caller in the event that the phone line is interrupted, and pin point a location in the county with only simple GPS coordinates
